Wire mesh decks is constructed of 4 ga. wire mesh with 13 ga support channels for a universal fit on step or box style beams. Galvanized finish after the welding process provides for maximum durability and a rust-free life. Capacities are based on evenly distributed loads.

Finish:
Our post-galvanized wire mesh decks are galvanized after welding for a lifetime of rust resistance. We offer the highest quality electro-galvanized finish that is smooth to the touch, bright and shiny with absolutely no oily residue. The overall quality of our wire rack decking is superior.

The channels are welded directly to the wire and are available in standard or inverted U shape, flared or inverted flared, or flat mesh without channels using reinforcement wires for additional capacity. Reinforced on the underside with rolled steel channel support members, engineered to provide the most economical design for precise fit and load requirements. Inverted U-channel have a upward facing closed surface -- no openings or collection points for dirt, wastes, or debris to accumulate. All sizes include a flared support channel to provide the most universal fit for full step, half step, box and structural style beams. All sizes are manufactured with 2½" x 4½" wire pattern, 4 gauge with 13 gauge support channels, 1½" waterfall front and rear, rated at 2,500 lbs. capacity evenly distributed load. Flared Wire Decking

Flared Channel Wire Decks are mainly used on structural and box style pallet rack beams. They are made specifically for rack beams that have no step or a shallow step. If used properly, this channel has universal fit applications.

The channels on a box style are flattened, or flanged in a way so that they sit on the beam top. Grid wraps beam as well. U-channel supports for box beam decking have flared ends, corrugated for extra strength. They provide a solid, secure seat on top surface of beam.

Step Beam Wire Decking

In this case, the grid wraps the beam in a waterfall fashion, while the channels sit on the beam step to absorb the load. The waterfall overlay provides a secure brace eliminating movement and bringing both shelf and beam to a perfect fit. Available in Flush decking, Flare decking, Inverted channel, U channel, and Waterfall decking.

 Our standard U channel wire deck is specifically manufactured for selective pallet rack step beams with an  1 5/8" step. It is designed with 3 or 4 channels that rest inside the beam step with wire mesh that waterfalls over the beam to hold the wire deck in place. Typical for all size pallets.

Wire Decks are one of those commodities where it doesn't make sense to pay more.

It used to be that all decks were the same, 2 gage wire, 2" x 4" grid, 3-Channel supports to fit into Step Beams.  These typically held 3500 lbs on a 42" deep x 46" wide area.

Then along came the 2-1/2" x 4-1/2" grid, 4 gage, these were about 32% cheaper and users became accustomed to the 2500 lbs capacity each.

Even the high quality manufacturers got into the act.  Nowadays, you can select the units that best suit your needs.  The low cost wire decks pictured on our site are the 2-1/2" x 4-1/2".
